Dr. Alfredo Valenzuela and the Valenzuela family are hosting a fundraiser for those suffering from the recent earthquake in Haiti at El Casino Ballroom, 437 E. 26th Street, Tucson, AZ 85713.

Time: 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Mariachi Tesoro de Tucson will play from 3:30 – 4:00 pm. Jaime Valenzuela is also the Music Director of Mariachi Corazón de Tucson. They will also perform along with serveral other local music and dance groups.

Puro Tesoro! Will be released tomorrow, January 29th! We are very proud of this new CD and, especially the efforts of our young musicians and the Music Director, Jaime Valenzuela.
PURO TESORO! has 40 minutes of play time – 13 tracks of both traditional and modern mariachi music.

La Fundación Elisa Gastellum lo dio al Mariachi Atzlan
de Pueblo High School la primera beca para la Conferencia Internacional Mariachi de Tucson este 25 de abril, 2009. Cuando tocó en el Showcase este año el grupo recibió el gran honor de los padres de Elisa Gastellum, la mariachi muy enamorada por la comunidad mariachi que se murió después de un accidente de coches. Muchos músicos conocieron a ella por su voz angélica, una personalidad muy suave, y un comportamiento muy simpático. En el YouTube hay algunos vídeos, incluyendo uno de ella riendo mientras cantando con sus amigos y compadres de mariachi. Sugerimos que miren ustedes si no lo hubiero hecho.
Mariachi Atzlan lo merece este becas por muchas razones. Pero una de ellas debe ser que el Sr. Jonny Contreras se está dedicado a su grupo y la herencia de mariachi y la cultura Mexicana hace muchos y es un modelo de profesionalismo y generosidad. Que más, los músicos donan tiempo en enseñarles a los mariachis de Roskruge Escuela bilingüe. Los musicos de Tesoro se han estado los beneficarios de su esfuerza.
