CD Release Party

April 17, 2010 from 3 – 4 pm, Mariachi Tesoro de Tucson will perform at 17th Street Guitars, Tucson, AZ. Musicians will be on hand to sign CDs that you purchase as well as to give away free posters, perform songs from their CD, help promote Gil Sperry’s book, Mariachi for Gringos! (see related post), and answer questions you might have about mariachi.

Book Signing by Gil Sperry

Gil Sperry will be available to sign his book, Mariachi for Gringos!, at 17th Street Guitars, Tucson, AZ 85719, on April 17th, 2010, from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Mariachi Tesoro de Tucson will perform from 3:00 – 4:00 pm and will be available to sign its CDs also on sale at the store and through Mariachi Tesoro. Some Tesoro musicians and their families will be on hand to help promote Gil’s book between noon and 3 pm. Hope to see you there!

Mariachi 101

Gil Sperry, author of Mariachi for Gringos!, is conducting a workshop entitled Mariachi 101 at the Tucson Festival of Books. Mariachi Aztlan will be playing during his workshop, where his book, Mariachi for Gringos!, will also be for sale. Mariachi Tesoro de Tucson had wanted to assist in the workshop, but was not available as we will be leading the Character Parade for the Tucson Festival of Books. Come join us!

Mariachi Youth Competition March 13

Pima County Library is hosting a mariachi youth competition to take place at the Tucson Festival of Books, March 13th, 2010 from 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Please join us. It’ll be lots of fun!

Fundraiser

Mariachi Tesoro will do another fundraiser this weekend at Little Mexico, a restaurant located at 2851 W. Valencia Rd, Tucson AZ

Please join us for a dinner plate of birria, rice, beans and tortilla for $10! And live mariachi music by Tesoro.

We will also have our new CD ¡Puro Tesoro! For sale. $10/CD

17th Street Guitars is hosting a release party for Mariachi Tesoro’s new CD ¡Puro Tesoro!
